Wedding First look Or Not?

If you are torn about whether or not you want to do a First Look on your wedding day, here are 3 reasons why we think you should!

More Private And Intimate Than Ceremony

Your photographer, videographer and possibly some of your wedding party will be within sight for your first look, it won’t be completely private. But, a lot less people will be watching you and your fiancé compared to the rest of the day.

Clam The Nerves

If you’re the type of person that gets nervous around crowds or doesn’t like to be the center of attention, then this is a great option for you. We’ve found that most clients are super nervous just before the ceremony and lets face it, your wedding is probably one of the biggest days of your life. Depending on how involved you are in the process and your personality, there can be a lot of stress built up to that moment of seeing each other for the first time. However, doing a First Look will give you peace of mind knowing that your significant other will be there for you to help calm those nerves. Time and time again we see the stress fly away just after the bride sees the groom for the first time.

More Photos

Scheduling time for photos before the ceremony with a first look allows for more beautiful photo opportunities.  In addition, weddings are unpredictable and there are often delays. It would be a shame to reminisce about your wedding day and wish you had more photo time scheduled!  It is not ideal to rush pictures after your ceremony for reasons like the sun already setting or a ceremony running longer than expected.

Conclusion

There’ll be plenty of moments to capture during the ceremony and the reception. There’s only one first look, make sure it doesn’t slip by. Your first look should be at least an hour before the ceremony so you can be tucked away before early guests arrive, and if that doesn't fit into your timeline, skip it!
